Enhancing Moments, Inc. offers an unique array of collectibles lines. Our collectibles lines include Walnut Ridge Collectibles, handcrafted, each figure is made entirely by hand. In most cases it takes ten days to create one of the collectables. Antique European candy and ice cream molds, as well as some contemporary molds and original designs are the inspiration for each of the collectible figures. Kneeded Angels, by Carol A. Grazian, are beautiful angels were originally created from bread dough and glue. Each of these elegant figurines are hand crafted, and therefore no two are the same. Colin’s Creatures is a collection of fine porcelain by designer J. Colin Richmond. The animals are researched through the national association, livestock shows and in the field. Using detailed photographs the legs, head and other parts which are to be made of porcelain are carved. In October of 1994 Maria Tretter had a dream of hers come true. She opened a small gift store featuring floral arrangements, unique gifts and wedding planning. With a degree from Purdue University and a family background of design this was the perfect career choice. She chose the quaint little town of Newburgh, Indiana which reminded her of the hometown in which she grew up and with a wonderful view of the Ohio River. What could be better?
After her first Christmas season, it became apparent that this small store would not be big enough. So, in the Summer of 1995 she tripled her building size and began adding lines which her customers were requesting. Unique collectibles, personal care items, candles, and gourmet foods were added. Business grew! Then the addition of outstanding, quality gift baskets. Now, one of Enhancing Moments specialties.
Her parents, Dennis and Mary Jo helped by adding their experience and working part time for her. In 1998 another addition to Maria’s family, a bouncing baby boy named Bryson. He suggested the addition of the best baby and children gifts around. He also suggested Grandma work at Enhancing Moments full time to help out Mommy. After years planning and changing we are offering a wide variety of gifts, services and internet shopping for your convenience.
